Heads up: this page and your TV won't agree
Scores here often run ahead of your TV. The page gets them within seconds; streams lag ten seconds to a minute or more, longer if you've paused or are watching a recording. So a score or a 🔥 can show up here before you see the play. Now and then it goes the other way, since the page refreshes every 5 seconds. Nothing is broken either way. To avoid spoilers, collapse the games you're watching or hide the Score column by clicking its header.
Navigating
Use Season and Week (top left) to switch what you're viewing. The page updates itself, every 5 seconds during live games and less often otherwise. No need to refresh.
Toolbar
- Who's watching. The oval button left of Players counts the tabs open on the site right now, yours included. Tap it to see what they're on (2 × iPhone · Safari). A new tab can take up to 30 seconds to appear. There are no accounts, so it never knows who you are.
- Players shows, hides, and orders player columns. ▲▼ moves a player. Pin (★) the ones you care about: Clear all hides everyone but your pins, Pinned shows only them, and Show all brings everyone back. Saved on this device.
- Theme. The default is Neutral, a color-free look. There's also Rowdy Mode (the house theme) and all 32 teams in Modern or Throwback style. Marks adds a glyph to each pick so color isn't the only cue: ✓ marks wins, ✓ ✗ marks wins and losses, Off uses color alone. For Custom Theme, tap Edit, then tap any part of the sample scoreboard to recolor it; text contrast is handled for you. You can also roll one with Surprise Me, Share a link to it, or Reset to Neutral.
- Light / Dark follows your device until you pick one, then remembers your choice.
The two sections
Click a section title to expand or collapse it.
- Games lists every game this week, with scores and pick results.
- Projected / Season Standings shows each player's Season record, This Week, Entering Wk N (where they stood coming in), and Weeks Won (weeks with the pool's best record; ties share credit). A marks the season leader and moves only once a week is final. A ✨ marks whoever's winning this week, live. Ties get one each. Click any of those four headers to re-sort; Season Rank and GB (games behind) follow the sorted column. The title reads Projected during play and Season once every game is final. While games are live, Count live games either counts them at the current score or sets them aside (10-4, 1 live, 2 scheduled). Once the week is final, Download offers the standings as CSV files.
Inside the Games section
- Time slots. Games are grouped by national broadcast window (Sunday Early, Sunday Late, and so on). Click a slot row to collapse it, or use Expand / Collapse All Games. Kickoff times are in your local time, so a Sunday Early game may not look early where you are.
- Scoring plays. Tap a matchup (the underlined team names) for every score in that game. Live games keep adding plays; reopen it for the latest.
- Columns. Click the Game, Kickoff, Score, or Pick Lead header to collapse that column. To hide players, use Players.
- Score. Live games show both scores and the clock (CIN 31 | BUF 32 | 7:44 - 3rd), leader in bold, with a 🏈 by the team that has the ball. Tap the underlined clock for down, distance, and field position. Before kickoff it reads Scheduled, then Starting Soon with a countdown; at halftime it counts down to the restart. A stopped game shows where the clock stopped and counts at that score. Tap Delayed or Suspended for the likely cause, from news headlines and the National Weather Service. The NFL gives no reason itself, so none of this is official.
- Pick Lead shows which team is covering right now, and by how much. A 🔥 flags a close finish: the last two minutes or overtime, with the cover within six points or the game within seven.
- Color coding. Picks are shaded winning or losing against the spread. During live games the colors follow the current score and can flip; they lock in when the game ends. Games not yet started are uncolored.
- Missed picks count as losses: a blank pick is a loss, and a missed week is a loss for every game that week, shown as a column of losses. Anyone who joins mid-season isn't charged for earlier weeks. A cancelled game counts for nobody.
- TV, stadium & weather. Tap the ⓘ by a kickoff time for the broadcast, the stadium, and the weather: current conditions and the game-time forecast before kickoff, then just current conditions once it starts.
- Sheet ⤓ downloads the week's original picks spreadsheet, handy for following along on paper.
How scoring works
Each game has a point spread, for example Lions +7.5. A Lions pick wins if they win outright or lose by less than 7.5; the other team's pick wins only if they win by more than 7.5. Spreads are always a half-point, so there are no ties.
